Control Cables, pre vs post 1979 ?

I have a 1991 Johnson that I want to connect up to a 1960 control box.
What style cables do I need?
What type of ends need to be on them.
Can I swap ends without a lot of searching and re engineering?
Pictures would help.

Pre and post 1979 controls use different cables. But your 1960 control with 1960 cables should work on your 1991.
