My 1988 Cruisers Inc. w/twin GM 350 mercruiser's has clicking noise at rear of engine (almost a rattling sound) at idle, seems to go away when I increase the rpm's, or when I put them in gear.
Any one have any thoughts if this a problem, or if it is a problem?

Bet dollars to dounuts that the exhaust flappers are clacking. Usually caused when the rubber coating either wears away or if they were overheated at some point and melted the coating off. Then they will "rattle" a bit on the aluminum "Y" pipe at idle. Above idle, there is enough of a smooth exhaust flow to keep em quiet.
