When I replaced my water pump, there was a thin hard plastic exhaust plate that sets behind the water pump, part #92815 which has bumps /grooves that were sticking up. Is this the correct orientation; grooves facing up? I was thinking maybe they should have faced down to give the thick rubber exhaust gasket a flat surface to set on.
