Choke and Idle speed

I have and edelbrock 1409 Carb

I have and edelbrock 1409 Carb on my BB Chevy. I have it wired so that it get energize when I turn the key on. I noticed that the screw that adjusts the "high" idle speed had been removed. Should it be there? If so what speed should I set the high Idle to.

"I recall only one speed adjusment screw. That's the control stop, controlling the minimum butterfly opening. There is not a screw for fast idle."

Marine carbs, having throttle setups that allow one to set the idle speed where you want it--and have it stay there--usually dispense with the choke related idle speed screw.
