Why does this engine seem like an oddball as far as parts lists goes? The seal, Part number 0327031 and shown as #14 in the exploded view, in the gearcase seems to be a tighter fit. Same seal number for several years around that time. I destroyed the seal trying to get it to seat. Same seal went right in a CD-22M.

-Your motor may not have the original lower unit.----Any pictures?----The 66 model is NOT an oddball motor at all.----It is an excellent motor just like all of these 5.5 / 6 hp motors !!
