"I'm going to replace cap/rotor and wires. Do you guys have any brand name recommendations for each?

I have 7mm wires on there now, not sure how old but several of the plugs and the coil don't make a firm connection. The coil wire feels like it'll fall out the first wave

If it exists, I wouldn't mind a better cap/wire connection method. I have a conventional cap with Prestolite electronic ignition.

"I have the same setup. For me, the 90 deg angle fittings on both ends work well. I have had seperation at the plug with the straight style. I use Jacobs 7 or 8mm, stainless wire coil type wire. Others vendors are fine also."
