Can I replace VRO with VRO2 pump?

Hi,

My 1987 Evinrude 50HP (E50BELCUD) VRO pump has a crack and is leaking fuel. (VRO Pump part# 174570)

I can buy a used VRO pomp from an early 90's Johnson 40HP. I believe this is a VRO2 pump (I guess part# 0175230)?

Does anyone know if I can use this VRO2 pump to replace mine? Looking just at the pictures they look the same.

Wasn't sure.
I'm running with VRO bypassed but rather replace with another VRO pump instead of a generic fuel pump. (even though I will not enable VRO again)
