hi
anyone know the symptoms of an incorrectly fitted cambelt on a 50hp 4 stroke 4? - I was thinking maybe a tooth out?

It would barley run or not run at all. And might bend every intake valve in the motor IIRC.

thanks all for your help - once I realised you turn idle screws CCW to richen and that the idle mixture was way too weak the problem was solved - just kept turning them out until I got a balanced mixture - backfire and stalling a thing of the past
