Hi Mike,
The "T" on the flywheel is positioned so that it faces the rear of the engine and lines up with a center punch mark on the outer edge of the cam gear... then install the belt.
Any other marks on the cam gear should be for ignition timing. If the motor is a CDI unit, you shouldn't need to adjust ignition timing if that wasn't disturbed initially. You can check it though, after installing the timing belt, by rotating the flywheel and lining up the "F" mark to the mark on the pull starter bolt boss. Pull the cover off the cam pulley then check that the lines on the pulley, spark advancer and pulser coil all line up in the pulley window.
