C40MSHR - No shallow tilt available?

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a motor, and am very happy with it except it has no shallow tilt setting or lever. I didn't think anyone even made motors like this, but it is either all the way up, or down!

I have researched on line, and called the yamaha dealer but have found nothing for a 1993 model year.
Has anyone come across a kit, or even built something?

Thanks for the reply. Was hoping for something simpler, like another arm with lever that would drop down. That also shows only for up to 35hp.

Nothing from Yamaha or anyone else that I have heard of.

There is tilt pin adjustment but not readily changeable from within the boat.

Other 40 models may have power tilt or trim and tilt.

That's too bad, great motor but it really sucks not having that.
