bravo 3 big block crank

same thread as bravo 3 big block won't crank.
i have removed elbows, manifolds and intermediate exhaust pipes, to the point where i think i should see the shutter valves. and then the problem starts, there aren't any. a grabber tool has produced the same stuff from each side. i have what could be a rocker that went from side to side and 1/2 of an oval shaped stainless piece. my questions start here. what are the chances of this being all that is left, not having any parts laying around in the y-pipe? is there any other access to this area,(say drop the lower unit?) other than removing the y-pipe, and do i have to remove the engine to do this? it seems complicated to get the y-pipe off, do i really have to go looking for parts?

Ayuh,... Pull the drive to get at the bottom of the Y-pipe....

Yes, the motor has to come out to remove the Y-pipe...

Do you really think we care if you try to find the parts by taking off the drive ?

All we can do is tell you what has to be done it's up to you to do it or not do it.

A piece of the flapper can be blocking your exhaust. Want to find it, do what people here are telling you.

Have a nice day !
