Bottom Wax/Coating for Algae Prevention

Does anyone know of an economical wax, coating, or procedure that can significantly reduce the build up of algae or at least make removal much easier??

I've been fighting that problem for years - algae and scum. There is no perfect solution that I can find. Surprisingly, it seems to me that the new liquid waxes with polymers tend to preform better than the hard paste waxes. The last one I used was called something like "star bright" that I picked up at an ACE Hardware store. I waxed down the hull while at Hatteras, and even in an exceptionally scummy harbor, it seemed to hold up well, and it is still doing a good job here on the Chesapeake six months later.

hahaha if you used star bright I used scotch bright but not on coating for algae but for cleaning the dishes...this type of solution must known by boat owners and if you're not sure for the things that you gonna use it could be better if you go first to a nearest boat parts online to know the best materials...
