A friend of mine said an old school trick for bottom paint is to add a couple cups of cayan pepper to the paint before painting, you can use the cheapest paint available, and the pepper will keep the growth away. Also, along the same topic, I was told i shouldnt paint the bottom blue if I'm gonna fish alot, anyone ever hear of either of these?"

On the blue paint, the guys that are catching all of YOUR fish probably told you that.
