Blows fuse when shifted to forward.

Hey Racerone or anybody that knows about old Johnson outboards. We have around a 1960s Larson Lapline with a 90 hp Johnson Evinrude. As far as we know original motor. Anyways whenever we shift to forward it blows a fuse underneath the dash. Reverse works just fine. Forward does not work. Whenever it blows the fuse it kills power to the key too. Does anybody know what the problem is and how to fix it?

V4ML-11C. That's model number of boat motor. I think it would be closer to 1965.

Sounds like someone had the lower unit off and pinched the green wire somewhere.-----Funny that I picked 1965 as the first year on the list.
