anyone out there have a clue what a blink code of 6 followed by 24? cant seem to find out... any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
I have a code chart for the older 200 and 225hp outboards so I'm not sure if it applies to your 50D.

But it lists code 6 as a disconnected engine cooling sensor or faulty sensor wiring or a faulty sensor.

It lists code 24 as engine cooling sensor #1 disconnected or wiring faulty or #1 sensor faulty.

It also has a code 25 that is for the #2 engine cooling sensor.

There is a "note" at the bottom of the page saying that the "probable problem part" for code 24 as well as code 25 and several other codes would be "open in sensor ground line (green/red)"
Which, I assume, is the color code for the ground wires in that harness.
