Cleaning the carbs.
Removed emulsion tube, removed the thin jet set that fits inside of the emulsion tube.
My question is the jet set tube suppose to be hollow all the way through? On the first carb I have disassembled the tube is occluded about half inch from the end opposite the o-ring.

Hi,

Yes, the jet set needs to be able to transfer fuel from the float chamber all the way up to the main passage above the venturi in the main body.

Frequently I've found those tubes just can't be adequately cleaned well enough to restore full performance.

That's why I view them as a "consumable". Meaning: I replace them just as I would a gasket or an oring.

If you think you've cleaned one well, look again......with an optical scope. High magnification will usually reveal you missed a spot.

Good luck,
