BF225 fuel line issue

Just though I would let other 225 owners know something I found when replacing all the fuel lines on my engine. When I pulled the original Honda line out of the harnes/fuel line conduit between the engine and the transom I found the fuel line was almost desintegrated due to sitting in water lying in the bottom of the droop in the conduit. Also there is a join in the fuel line with a crimp on clamp. Although it is fairly smooth it had chafed through the outer plastic loom on the engine harnes. I replaced it with a non stop line from the racor to the engine filter. Water had got in the conduit from a poor transom seal.

Just though I would mention this issue as it could cause total deteriorization of a fuel line and present a rather mysterious fuel delivery problem, and possible chafing of the harnes where the join is.
