Best way to connect steering between 18hp kicker and i/o leg.

I have a 2003 Bayliner 265 350 mag I/O and I just got a 18 HP Merc kicker.
Does anybody have suggestions on what the best way to connect the two
so that I can steer from the helm? Also what the approximate cost would be
for the parts would be?
