I forgot to raise my engine wh

I forgot to raise my engine when putting my boat in and bent the skag. Can a skag be straighted without breaking it and it there any special technique that will help?

The trick to determining the right temperature is to touch the hot metal with a hammer handle: if it smokes, it's hot enough.

Drain the grease out first (if it will come out) and leave the top plug out if it won't.
