i have a 75 elpt serial oe1927 force/merc. i just completed rewiring the entire boat and replacing batteries. i knew there was an isolator on it but i never looked at it. its a guest 1 alt. 2 batt model 2401a i believe. this is the way its hooked up. wire coming from the motor to position A on the isolator. wire from position 1 to the aux battery positive. nothing to the starting battery but there is a wire from the negative on the aux battery to the neg on the starting battery. im no genius but that doesnt seem correct. having never messed with an isolator leads me here. if you can help me with correct wiring i wouls appreciate it guest.JPG

Where is the positive lead on the starting battery wired to, and what's connected to the negative on the starter solenoid? If the aux battery is on post 1 of the isolator then it sounds like someone switched it so the aux is running the motor and the starting battery isn't hooked up at all.
