"Hoping for some advice on determining my problem.
Engine was tested on land and ran fine, put it in last week and went to the dock and overheated to 200+ with new thermostat. Thought there was air lock so pulled hoses one at a time to check flow and suddenly the temp dropped as if the themostat opened. Ran for a while ( 15 minutes ) and she heated up to 240- barely mad it back. Thought maybe bad therm- replaced it- tested old one- it was good- oh oh - now what. Can anyone suggest a procedure to check out the flow from the raw pump and or the circulation pump. I pulled the hose from the top of the raw water pump and there seems to be no pressure coming from the impeller.(brand new)I dont believe I am getting circulation from the other pump either. P.S. I hope I'm not rambing. Been at it all day.
