"Hi, I don't get this. I was restoring a 1974 bayflite glastron and I was looking for parts on ebay and came across an identical one that was ten times better then the one I had. It had a crack manifold, but of course it did not brother me I had replacement parts for everything. I pick it up for $500. Well anyways I replace the water impeller with a new one, and at high rev there is water peeing out the hole on the bottom of the shaft. What is the purpose of the holes and what do I do to stop the leak?

"Those holes are tell-tales to indicate a water leak and to prevent the water from entering the crankcase. When you see water coming from the hole at the bottom, this is a sign that the seal is gone and needs to be replaced ASAP."

then you would need seals 9 for sure, and maybe impeller 11, gasket 12, and even bearings 14 if they don't look good."
