"I am running the original points ignition . The wiring schematic in my Seloc manual shows a external resistor . My boat does not have one & doesn't appear as if it ever did .( wiring harness is intact ) The Bosch super coil currently in the boat has a resistance of 3.8 ohms . Is this acceptable ? Also , there is a external resistor in the circuit from the alternator to the low voltage warning light on the inst. panel that is not in the wiring schematic. Any ideas on that one ? I plan to switch to Pertronix when I get the current performance issues resolved . Thanks"
