"Got Closer today adjusting the idle of the engine, where it idles around 1000rpms. Though it sounds rough and additionally when i go to take it out of neutral and drop it into gear, the engine will die here. What exactly do i need to adjust to get it tuned correctly?

You need a timing light and ch

You need a timing light and check that you have 10º advance BTDC at idle (900-1000 RPM) and 36-38º at 2800 RPM. Seloc explains how to do it.
