Anyone got an opinion about Sierra piston rings and other parts?

I am rebuilding my 25 and need some piston rings. Sierra are coming out at a good price but is it worth paying more for OMC?

Anyone got any comments on Sierra parts in general. As the rebuild goes on I am sure that Sierra will keep popping up as a good value option.

If you are using Evinrude pistons use Evinrude rings don't mix and match.

I am keeping the original Pistons, which I assume are OEM, so OMC. Are you suggesting that me a sign should only use OMC rings?

Yes use OMC/BRP piston rings in the factory pistons.

Sierra rings will interchange just fine, just really check the piston ring lands for wear.
