Alpha 1 drain screw issue

Good morning, On the outdrive is a water drain screw. Long story short, the screw was seized up and broke off whatever it was threaded into. I have the screw, but it now has nothing to fasten too. This piece is loose in the drive. I dont know whether it is plastic or metal. Anyone deal with this before? Will this mean a full removal of the drive for a 2 dollar fastener?

what broke off? The housing or part of the screw? Where is this screw located? Bottom, middle, top side of drive?

Ayuh,...... Some of the ole MC-1 drives had a flush screw that screws into the body of the raw water pump,......
It ain't a drain, but a water feed,.....

Grab a full raw water pump Kit, 'n change it out,..... it's probably due anyways,.....
