Alarm sounding off

I have a 1997 mariner, 200HP EFI. My horn sounded off while running down the lake. I checked an I was low on oil. However after filling the tank and checking the resivour the horn still will go off. Something strange it will sound only when motor is in the tucked position when taking off then it will stop as the motor is raised. Could this be a sensor somewhere???

It could be the sensor in the oil tank.

Have a look near the bottom of the tank, you should see the wire harness going to it. Unhook the bullet connector and see if your horn "goes away".

If so you can replace the sensor (the assembly is about 130 bucks) OR simply top up your oil every time you go out (free )
