"I have a 1999 7.4L MPI with a bravo 3 drive. I am getting an alarm @ 2800-3200 RPM while the engine is under load only. Any lower it ok any higher it ok. Its not the solid oil/temp alarm its the same alarm that indicates low drive oil yet the drive oil level is ok and I still get the alarm if I dis. con the drive oil sensor. Has anyone else had this issue? I know of things it could be like knock,O2, TPS sensor but I do not have a code reader and all the shops that are authorized are 45 days out."

"You don't have an O2 sensor and the TPS won't give an alarm. Try unplugging the knock sensor. It's round like an oil sender, down by the starter on the block. You have to squeeze the connector to unplug it. It would activate right around that RPM when you're about to get onto plane. Also, make SURE you have the correct sparkplugs (resistor). EFI's are susceptible to RF interference."
