"Question,

Full rebuilt 87

"Question,

Full rebuilt 87 Johnson 225, When I start it up in the morning it runs great. All day. Then when coming home I run it for about 26 miles or so keeping it at around 3.5k to 4k rpms.

Once in the harbor my motor seems like it will not idle as well as it did in the morning?

Anyone else have this happen to them? Or is there a reason for this and can I fix it?

"after that long of a run, eve

"after that long of a run, everything is pretty warm. i don't like to work properly when it's warm either. try trimming the motor up, so that it is in a level attitude. that should help with the "load up" that it sounds like you are geting."

"no.....but,...just tilt it up

"no.....but,...just tilt it up,till rpm's come up a little, and it idles better...I think, mark hit the nail on the head,..u prob have it trimed too far in,..at idle..that bury's your exhaust rel holes...trim it up,till the cowling is level or a little more tilt."
