I am sorry to impose on you fellas but the questions may be a little outside what one would normally post here.
We blew the motor in one of our trucks the other day and was looking at theis 4.3liter OMC thats in a boat we don't use anymore...you see where this is going.

Is it possible to install this motor in a gmc truck? The boat motor is carb and the truck the TBI...

Just a thought. Thanks

"RJW, The motor will work, what model is the truck, are you replacing a 4.3 with a 4.3. If the truck has a v-8,tbi will not work, different unit for v-8 versus 4.3 If the truck is a late 80's early 90's model you can use that engine with the carb, you will have to regulate your fuel pressure down to 5-7 psi using a external mount regulator and also put the return line on a port on the regulator, also if the tranny is computer controlled you will have to have that changed to the 87 and earlier vacuum operated system for the lockup on converter that any trans. shop can do fairly cheap. Now if its a 4.3 coming out, may just be a simple swap! Whew!!!"

"If it was RWC, you might have to flush the rad about a zillion times - there will be a lot of rust, scale and sand in the engine block."
