"I have Merc. 9.8 that will not idle or run at trolling speeds. I have cleaned the plugs and have just put fresh fuel in the tank. Any ideas?
Also, when starting, even when hot, I have to pull out the choke and then immediately push it in once the engine starts???

That sounds like a clogged idle jet. You probably have to remove the carburetor and clean it thoroughly.
