92 evin. 115 slow crank on initial start up

I have a Evinrude 1992 115hp. On the initial start up it labors to turn the motor over but eventually does and I can get the motor started. There's no problem the rest of the day turning the motor over. It's been doing this for some time. Was wondering if anybody else has had this issue.

Charge the battery.-----Then load test the battery ( even if new ).----Take starter apart for inspection and ohm test on armature.----Possibly install new brushes.----Inspect cables and connections.------Checked lower unit oil ?------Possibly water leaking into a cylinder after last shutdown.-----Do a compression test.-----That should keep you busy with not much money spent doing these inspections.

Leaking water into a cylinder was my first guess. Rust forms while sitting, making harder to crank first time. Let's hope I'm wrong.
