9.5 evinrude float level?

I just got a carb kit for my 1965 9.5 evinrude sportwin model 9522c serial # E13410 How do I set the float level? I would really appreciate any help.

With the carburetor body held upside down, the float being viewed from the side, adjust the float so that the free end of the float (the end opposite the hinge pin) is ever so slightly higher (just ever so slightly off level) than the other end. And when viewed from the end, make sure it is not cocked.

I think I will get a repair manual it seems like I have a lot of questions. thank you for the info. on how to adjust the float kimcrwbr1
