Hello all, I recently changed the impeller and housing etc on my 88 merc 80 l3 and it worked great normal steady stream. Also replaced thermostat and all worked well. Took it to the river after a decent rain and wouldn’t you know it it got somewhat clogged it would spit but defiantly wasn’t my normal stream so I didn’t run it more than I absolutely had to which was minimal to get back. Next day put it back in the water to see if perhaps something had freed up, started it up and the tell tale had more pressure than I had seen with old impeller or new. My guess some trash got in and is holding thermostat or Pop valve open ? Water pressure gauge hasn’t really worked so I can’t use it for much reference. Appreciate any insight.
