Hi Gang,
I think I know the answer to this but wanted to ask anyway. I took the boat out of for a spin on Sat evening.
Thing ran great for about 15min but then it started to miss regularly. That lasted for about 5-10min (misses every few seconds).
Then it stopped fluttering and was clearly running on one cylinder the rest of the way home without fluttering/misses.
At lunch today, I went out and started it up. It was running on both cylinders. If I unplugged one, it stuttered. If I unplugged the other it stuttered a bit more. So seems to be running on both at present. I tested for compression and got 80psi in one and 90psi in the other. Not great.
So, the question is, could low compression only manifest itself after 15min? I was under the impression that it was more likely to impact start-up and idling...
Thoughts?
