76-73 Johnson 85 Hp Steering cable siezed in out board bracket.

Boats been sitting for years. Shame on me!:(
Now the shaft is stuck inside the Outboard bracket.
I wonder if there's a way to take it all that stuff apart back there?

I cannot pull the end of the Cable out of the Outboard bracket. It's OK up at the helm. I think the Cable is probably OK inside the cable housing as well.
Just that part inside the Outboard bracket is Stuck!:confused:

I'm sure having fun bringing this ol' guy back from the Pasture..(Dead).;)

Yes, the engine turns freely. The problem is all in the cable housing right at the Out board bracket.

The power lift works good, after I purged the air and put Power steering fluid in the resivour.
The starter was corroded inside. When I get that working I'll see if it will start.
