"I have a pair of 6V53 TIB'S and at the end of 2007 started to have a problem shutting down my starboard engine. I turned off the key and depressed the black kill button and the engine still ran. I found that the only way to shut it down was to rev the engine and pull the throttle back quickly and it sputtered, smoked and shut down. However this caused the turbo to bind up on spring start up with excessive carbon deposits. I have to go to the center of the turbo spline and use a muti point socket with an adapter to my 18 volt drill to free up the turbo.
I know that somewhere there has to be an adjustment to relieve the problem, but don't know where to look for it. Hope you can help me."
