I removed flywheel, stator, distributor,rotor, removed points, cleaned all contacts. Set point gap. Tested the stator. Manual states on reassembly to align tab on rotor with recess on crankshaft. I see no tab that would match recess on crankshaft. I looked it over under led light and magnifier and I see nowhere a tab may have broken off. There is a brass tab of sorts on the outer side with part facing upward that appears to rotate inside the distributor. It does not ride along or recess into crank though. I tried to attach photos but file size is too large evidently. Anybody have experience with this?
