"Help me out here, because this is a 2 stroke that means you must mix gas & oil together before putting it in the tank (like a weed eater)?
If so does anyone know the ratio & what type of oull to use?

There is no "sensor" o

There is no "sensor" on a 50HP. There is a link- rod that connects the throttle to the oil pump.

The only thing close to a sensor is the low alarm float switch.

"Take the hood off and look for the oil tank - check to see that it has oil in it - second, if you are not the original owner, drop by a Merc dealer and get yourself an "owners" manual - will explain everything.

If you are the original owner, dig out the manual and have a good read. It would be a shame to toast a 3 year old motor just because "you didn't know"...."

I just rebuilt a 115 merc that

I just rebuilt a 115 merc that the owner used air cooled oil in it. Pistons were scored. Be sure your oil is tcw3 for outboards.
