45hp autoblend

I have a 1988 45hp mercury with oil injection . I read on other forums it is probably best to disable autoblend and mix the oil myself .
I did unhook it and kept all of the parts . My question is…… Do the two tan and 1 purple wires have a purpose other than the power to the tank that holds the 2 cycle oil ? I already unhooked them but can put them back if necessary . This system was working when I disabled it .

Thats all the wires purpose..you saved that engines life by getting rid of it.

Thank you , I am lost as far as boat engines , but was confident that I could disable the system .
