Hi, I have a strange problem with a customers engine. It starts easily and runs well for about 10 seconds and then miss fires and violently stalls and reverses the engine. I was thinking an explosion leak between cylinders (head gasket) but the compression is good. Seperating the leads made no difference . Any ideas would be much appreciated . Thanks, Darryl.

May be a sheared flywheel key.

Thank you everybody for your input. I actually never thought of the flywheel key but that makes sense,that's what I'll look at first,and sync the throttle etc while I'm at it. I'll let you know the results in a few days. Great ! Darryl.
