What is the difference between

What is the difference between a 40 hp and 50 hp 1993 Force? Can the 40 be souped up to 50 with a carb change etc. or is the power head different?
Any good tuning/speed tricks?

"William, the 40 and 50 were essentially the same except for the carb.

If you can get a carb for nothing and you are working on the motor anyhow, it's worth making the upgrade.

Otherwise, you could be out 200 bucks for a carb (if you can find one - discontinued both the 40 and 50 horse model)and can tell you, that unless you lie to yourself, you will not notice any performance difference between a 40 and a 50 horse motor....

If the motor is running good - keep your fingers crossed and don't mess with it (my 2 cents)..."
