33 hp throttle control question

Hi,

I purchased my first boat, a 16 ft 1985 sea nymph that has a 1967 ski twin 33 hp motor. the boat works great but will not go up to full throttle. When the control lever is pushed all the way foreward the throttle on the motor is halfway. I adjusted the cable so when the lever is upright it is just off idle. My question: Is there a way to take apart the side mount control and adjust it so it pulls the cable more to get the full range off throttle at the motor? Second question is if I have to purchase a new throttle control, how do I match it with this motor? (I searched the web and found no guide)

I don't know the answer but when I had a similar problem I called my local dealer and got The information I needed.
