2012 Evinrude 15 Hp 4 Stroke questions

I’m new to the site and new to Evinrude, and pretty much new to 4 strokes.
So I just got an Evinrude 15 hp 4 stroke, I got it started and it’s not pissing, so I didn’t let it run any long. How long should it take to warm up enough to open the thermostat.
It’s 45 degrees here and running off my well, which water is probably 50 to 55 degrees coming out of the hose.

Is the telltale hose plugged ?----Is the motor getting too hot ?------Almost a golden rule to install a new impeller when you buy a used motor !
 
Both my Honda 9.9 and Suzuki 90hp start peeing within 5-7 seconds of start up. Water pump must be totally submerged plus another 3”-5” of water above the water pump. Doesn’t matter if the thermostat is opened or closed. I’d suggest you take Racerone’s advice and install a new water pump.
