2008 bf225 not starting

Never had a problem with my Honda bf225 and always kept up with regular maintenance. Last week I was running 4500 rpms like normal and the engine shut off like the kill switch was pulled. Now engine won’t start. Could this be a bad kill switch and how to test? Or could it be a bad relay or something else?
Thanks

I had this happen before and it was really bad. My timing belt tensioner pulley bearings gave out and threw my timing belt. I had to replace all 24 valves on the cylinder heads. I hope your's is a much simpler solution. Pull the cover and check timing belt

Do your key-switch lights come on and get the two beeps when you turn on the key? Does it crank?

Before tearing into the engine, I would first check the fuses, especially the big 30 amp on the right as you are facing the fuse box. Use an ohm meter. Should be near zero resistance on each fuse.

Next, pull the kill switch and disconnect it. Should be the black/red wire.

If neither of those, then do as Skooter says and check the timing belt and tensioners. Check if belt is loose and possibly skipped timing.
