Hi, my engine runs fine but lately noticed that it is getting warmer when at low to medium speed. I have changed the impeller, thermostats and poppet valve and it is still doing it. When the gauge shows that it is getting warm I place it in neutral and wait for the temp to come down which is a pain in itself since my fishing grounds are 75km (46 miles) away and I have to drive the boat at a speed that suits the sea conditions. Can it be a salt build-up within the engine?
If it is a salt build-up what is involved to clean it out? I flushed the engine with a product similar to Salt Away after every session and was surprised to see the amount of salt on the old thermostats. What to try next, please?
