2004 johnson j115plsr head swapping

I just bought a boat with a 2004 Johnson j115plsr 2 stroke with a scorched cylinder head...my friend has a set of heads he had redone and never finished project on a 1998 Johnson 115 2 stroke ..can anyone tell me if the head he has will fit on the 2004 I just got..any replys appreciated thanks

?----Can you not resurface ( flatten ) and paint the cylinder head that you have.

thing is he has all new piston and rings to go with head off 1998>>I'm sure I could get 1 cylinder rebored

flatten? never heard that term..bore or sleeve cylinder is my option on motor I have..

You say a " scorched cylinder head "---------Obviously post # 1 should have said " powerhead with a scored cylinder " a huge difference in meaning here.
