2003 DF50 Sputtering Problem

DF50 Suzuki has an intermittent sputtering problem that is VERY inconsistent. It will sputter at low and high RPM ranges. Some days it runs perfectly and other days it sputters multiple times. Does it when the engine is cold and hot. Motor has very low hours, slightly over 100 hours. Run Premium fuel with stabilizer added and fuel is relatively fresh. Boat is run almost every weekend.

Any help is much appreciated.

Bought the boat almost a year ago from a good friend (original owner) with very low utilization. Since I’ve owned it, I go out almost every weekend but just 1 day to my fishing spot and that’s pretty much all the time I put on it. Don’t go for long cruises or trolling. I was planning on changing the filters and spark plugs but was told the fuel pump is the likely problem. Thanks
 
Testing is the path forward !---But if you were told the fuel pump is the likely culprit, then you could invest about $500 in one.----If not the problem you will have a spare for the future !
