2002 Yamaha OX66 200

I am wanting to go to 250-300 hp. Finding a good running engine is slim and risky. Can a 200 hp platform be upgraded to 225or 250 hp with a new ECM, injectors or other related components? I use to be an old diesel mechanic and sometimes the difference in hp is just how you set it up and not a different engine.

I'm just trying to make a good decision b4 finding out later I could have kept my engine.
