2000 115 evinrude ficht starting problems

will not fire right away almost kills battery sometimes
trouble starting hot or cold
have to engage full throttle for it to start
pulled plugs after cranking it over alot and they were dry
wonder if the fuel pump gets weak
changed fuel filter
any help or suggestions?
 
is the fuel pump running when you turn the key to the on pos? are there any lights on the system check gages? did you index the spark plugs? how fresh is the fuel?
 
system check gages all work .plugs were indexed.tank was drained and premium fuel put in this year.
as for the fuel pump running not sure when key is first turned on but the motor has always started usually after on and off cranking for over a minute

hammer bay marine in ontario near mactier fixed my motor turned out the ecu was fried . new ecu and the motor starts and runs great
